This is an extended version of a short piece I wrote for the Winter 2012 issue of.

Like most stories of discovery, the story of Planet X seems straight-forward at first, then gets more tangled the deeper one digs. The story of Pluto reveals a bigger story about scientific discoveries and the difficulties of attributing credit. Inspired, astronomers began looking for irregularitie.

This website is a complete collection of Bentley Beethams photographs from the 1924 Everest Expedition and offers an insight into a mounteering past and a civilization long since vanished. It also contains other images taken by Bentley Beetham both before and after 1924 from the Haut Atlas in Morrocco to Teesdale in North East England where he grew up.PARSED CONTENT
